The rails blur past his feet hanging down as he picks his time to go. It's a harrowing thing when it's moving this fast, but still the worst he ever got was that twisted ankle outside Spokane, and even then he walked off in a day. The drop off's a bit steeper than he'd like, and it's getting dark, so it's a gamble. It always is. But nothing's gonna keep him, because Sally's getting married tomorrow, to a man that's not him! So he counts to thirteen, his courage welled up thinking about her sweet smile, says a prayer to Jesus, then takes the leap. "I'm coming for you Sally!"
