Deserts of Our Soul
Share
We danced on the ridges of light, our bodies stretching and arching toward the skies, she and I, suspended between gravity and grace. Each movement sparked tiny flares of color that rippled outward, catching the edges of unseen constellations. Our love touched the heavens, coaxing the angels to weep with delight, their tears shimmering like liquid starlight as they traced the curves of our joy.
They know the struggles of the Earth—the heavy, mundane, human things—and yet they see that it is made whole through love, perfect in its imperfection, flawed and radiant all at once. Let us descend slowly, carrying that radiance with us, savoring every breath, every whisper of wind, every subtle vibration of the world around us. Let us taste the sweetness of ordinary moments, hear the quiet music that hides in the corners of streets and trees, and fill the deserts of our souls with song, laughter, and the gentle hum of wonder that lingers long after the dance has ended.
